Harry McVeigh, Charles Cave and Jack Lawrence-Brown broke into the world of indie rock in 2009 with a debut album that immediately hit the top of the British charts. Their next three albums were also highly appreciated by music critics and ordinary listeners.
On February 1, 2019, White Lies presented a new album, Five, which is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the group. Work on the record opened for the group new creative heights. As the band members themselves say: “This is a record album for White Lies. We celebrate a decade of the group, which pushed us to expand the sound and achieve new artistic forms. This is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for us. ” Album Five turned out to be more complicated and bold than its predecessors, with the addition of the personal and sometimes intimate lyrics of bassist and songwriter Charles Cave: "I think it is true that five is really a magic number."
Over the past decade, the music world has changed, new names have come and gone, but White Lies fans remain as loyal to the band, both in the UK and beyond.
