The Rasmus. Anniversary Tour Dead letters
The Rasmus will celebrate the 15th anniversary of Dead Letters with a European tour.
In Russia, every connoisseur of dark music and ballad lyrics heard about The Rasmus. Almost every teenager at the beginning of the 2000s hung a group poster on the wall. During his long career, one of the most famous bands in Finland released nine albums, received a huge number of various awards both at home and abroad. Over 4 million albums of the group have been sold worldwide.
But it was the fifth studio album Dead Letters and the immortal hit In the Shadows that brought four Finnish musicians (Lauri YULENEN, Pauli RANTASALMI, Aki HAKALA and Eero HEONNENU) to world success in 2003. In 2019, The Rasmus will go to the European anniversary tour, timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the release of the plate.
The band’s leader, Lauri YULENEN, talks about the upcoming tour as follows: “Dead Letters is the most significant album in The Rasmus history. At the time of the release of the album, our team has existed for ten years and was a huge success in Finland: platinum albums, sold-out concerts. Thanks to confidence, curiosity and fear of the future, we recorded a darker and more melancholic album, which defined our new individual style. Immersed in the memories of the old days, we wanted to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Dead Letters and play all the compositions of the plate for fans of the group. The album is full of vivid stage images that I want to embody in our live performances. Some songs from this album will be played for the first time during the anniversary tour. ”
The surprises do not end there: the Dead Letters record will be republished on CD and LP carriers in an exclusive gift edition. The updated edition will be released on June 6 of this year.
Today, the rock band The Rasmus, as before, is surrounded by loyal fans, full of creative energy and youthful enthusiasm, which allows it to still gather full halls.
Immerse yourself in pleasant memories, sing along with your favorite band the hit In the Shadows and other compositions of the cult album Dead Letters at the anniversary performances of their idols The Rasmus in 2019.
