Smokie rock and roll centenarians are still one of the most touring British bands in Europe. Over their 50-year career, the group has assembled an impressive collection of silver, gold and platinum discs for albums sold in millions of copies around the world with hits such as “If You Think You Know How To Love Me”, “Oh Carol”, “Lay Back In The Arms Of Someone ”“ Don’t Play Your Rock'n'Roll To Me ”,“ What Can I Do ”, and, of course, the most famous“ Living Next Door To Alice ”, which took off on the 5th place in the charts England and the 25th in America in the spring of 1977. 10 years after its release, this song, re-sung by “Smokie” along with Roy Chubby Brown, repeated its success, again took fifth place in the charts and went Camping circulation of more than two hundred thousand copies.
